Remote Mortgage Underwriter

EMM Loans | Full-Time | RemoteEMM Loans is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Underwriter to join our growing Retail Operations team. We are looking for a strong conventional underwriter with hands-on experience reviewing condo transactions and expertise in agency guidelines.The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting, including condo reviews, along with at least one additional product designation such as FHA, VA, or USDA.ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite residential mortgage loan files in accordance with agency and investor guidelinesReview income, assets, credit, collateral, and overall loan eligibilityAnalyze and underwrite conventional loans, including condo transactionsEnsure compliance with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirementsUnderwrite at least one additional loan product type: FHA, VA, or USDACommunicate loan conditions and decisions clearly with processors, loan officers, and operations staffMaintain productivity and quality standards while meeting turn-time expectationsStay current on agency updates and underwriting guideline changesQualifications Minimum 5 years of recent mortgage underwriting experienceStrong conventional underwriting experience requiredExtensive Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac condo underwriting experience requiredMust possess at least one additional underwriting designation/experience in FHA, VA, or USDACurrent DE, SAR, or equivalent certifications are a plusStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsExperience with Encompass preferredWhy Join EMM Loans?At EMM Loans, we combine the energy of a growing organization with the stability and reputation of an established national lender.
