Mortgage Underwriter is a full-time position responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accuracy in underwriting decisions. Key ResponsibilitiesDecide on a full range of mortgage loans, including FHA loans Review mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness Work with compliance officers to ensure adherence to mortgage and loan regulationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and automated underwriting systems Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act Familiarity with state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations
