Hi,Senior Java / Distributed Systems Engineer – Digital Assets & TokenizationLocation - Lake Mary or Pittsburgh or NY- onsite Role SummaryA financial institution is seeking senior, hands-on Java engineers to support its U.S. Treasuries Tokenization initiative within the Digital Assets team. The role focuses on building and integrating enterprise-grade tokenization platforms across custody, collateral, trading, and post-trade workflows in a highly regulated financial services environment.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and enhance Java-based microservices supporting tokenized U.S. Treasuries• Build distributed, event-driven services with strong focus on scalability, resiliency, and auditability• Integrate digital asset platforms with custody, collateral, settlement, and trading systems• Develop secure APIs supporting token lifecycle processing and reconciliation• Ensure entitlement integrity, account and wallet mapping, and control checkpoints• Apply secure SDLC practices including CI/CD, testing, and observability• Support phased MVP-to-target-state architecture evolution• Collaborate within cross-functional product, architecture, engineering, and control teamsMandatory Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on Java engineering experience (enterprise-grade systems)Blockchain / Smart Contracts: Solidity (backend/blockchain experience required)Experience with microservices and distributed systems architectureAPI design and development experienceCloud-native application development experienceEvent-driven and asynchronous processing experienceStrong understanding of resiliency, auditability, and operational controlsExperience in capital markets or regulated financial services environmentsGood-to-Have SkillsExperience with digital assets, DLT, or tokenization platformsFamiliarity with custody, post-trade, collateral, or settlement workflowsExposure to idempotent services, compensation patterns, and enterprise observabilityExperience in large custodian banks or financial market infrastructuresExperience in Distributed systems architecture
