Product Manager
Position SummaryThe Product Manager leads critical projects to identify new business opportunities, new product development opportunities, product launches, and product lifecycle management. They coordinate with several internal business units as well as the global sales team to ensure product development projects are achieved on time and results are strong. The Product Manager is responsible for defining the project goals and success criteria and determining how success will be measured and tracked. They will understand how to align customer expectations with the development of new products and drive the success of the products.Essential FunctionsDevelop and execute strategies for the Tronair product lines to bring new products to marketDevelop plans that drive the growth of existing product lines through continuous improvement and product enhancementPerform market research and leverage knowledge to drive success of product lines including but not limited to features, options, pricing, etc.Deep understanding of competitive landscape and ability to leverage knowledge to create competitive advantages for Tronair productsAlign customer expectations and project team by leveraging market research and product knowledge and defining project scope, goals, and deliverablesLeverage product expertise by providing support to the international sales team and developing marketing materials for new and existing productsPrepare and present strategic planning presentations to senior leadershipImplement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputsEvaluate, assess, and communicate results of product launches including lessons learnedUse and continually develop leadership skillsTravel up to 25-40% of the time to customer locations to understand application of equipment and customer needsAttend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiencyPerform other related duties as assignedOther duties may be assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university3-5 years in product management or equivalent roleMBA a plus but not requiredExperience working on and managing product development projectsAn equivalent amount of education, training and experience may be substituted for these requirements at the discretion of the companyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power PointSkills and ProficienciesAdvanced time management, presentation, and organizational skillsStrong analytical, quantitative and financial skill baseAbility to quickly learn how to operate aviation ground support equipment across multiple product linesAbility to think innovatively and understand customers’ needs to develop compelling business case proposalsAbility to collaborate with cross functional teamsSelf-starter able to work independently as well as with groupsMinimum Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time, using a computer.Communicate effectively and timely by telephone and email; use fingers, hands and arms to reach.Able to drive, fly and use other modes of travel as required.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
