Senior Project Accountant

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately held client with over four decades of industry presence in South Florida — a recognized leader in their specialized segment of the construction and manufacturing sector.We are seeking a full-cycle accounting professional who can manage both construction project accounting and manufacturing operations finance. This is an on-site role reporting directly to the Controller.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage full-cycle accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and cash management• Prepare and process AIA / progress billing (G702/G703) for construction projects• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, adjusting entries, and closing entries• Maintain fixed asset schedules including depreciation and amortization• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations• Maintain and control the trial balance• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements• Support job costing and billing milestone tracking at the project level• Assist with cost accounting functions tied to manufacturing operationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Demonstrated experience in construction accounting (project-based billing, WIP, percentage-of-completion)• Hands-on experience with AIA billing (G702/G703) and progress billing procedures• Full-cycle accounting proficiency: AP, AR, collections, reconciliations, and general ledger• Experience preparing financial statements and controlling the trial balance• Strong command of accrual-basis accounting and month-end close• Experience with fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and related journal entries• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP)• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPREFERRED (NICE TO HAVE)• Prior experience as a Project Accountant• Manufacturing cost accounting background• WIP schedule management• Bilingual: English / Spanish• CPA or CPA candidateWHAT'S ON OFFER• Salary up to $100,000 depending on experience• Stable, tenured employer with a strong South Florida reputation• Collaborative environment with direct access to leadership• Exposure to both construction project accounting and manufacturing finance
