Relief - Certified Veterinary Technician

Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland Oregon. Our hospital team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and are supported by dedicated technicians and support staff. Who are we looking for right now? Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency & Referral is looking for experienced Relief Certified Veterinary Technicians, for our ER and ICU teams. Minimum 3 years of experience in ER or ICU required. CVT preferred. Essential Job Functions Triage and assessment of cases - including alerting DVM of patients in critical conditions Perform diagnostic tests and procedures Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM Provide support and education to pet owners Maintain accurate medical records Required Skills Valid certification as a veterinary technician in the state of Oregon (CVT) Prior experience in an emergency veterinary hospitalpreferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills Assisting and monitoring of surgical and sedated procedures What can BVER offer?
