We work collaboratively to make sure every member has the opportunity to shape their work life and grow professionally.Anticipated ScheduleThis is a full-time position.Four 10-hour weekdaysSome holidays are requiredCompensationStarting at $22/hr, commensurate with experience and licensure RequirementsWhat You’ll DoAs a Veterinary Technician Assistant in Oncology, you’ll support patients through their cancer care journey—helping ensure each visit is as safe, smooth, and compassionate as possible. You’ll work directly with our oncology clinicians to assist with treatments, diagnostics, and appointments, while supporting the team with organization and communication. In this role, you will:Hold and monitor patients during chemotherapy treatments while wearing full PPEAssist with CT scans, biopsies, ultrasounds, radiographs, and oncology appointmentsSupport the diagnostic process by preparing and assisting with bloodwork and imagingHelp maintain accurate medical records, treatment sheets, and controlled drug logsPerform proper restraint, TPRs, and pain assessmentsPrepare and fill medications and assist with client call-backs and dischargesEnter diagnostic summaries, request forms, charges, and prescriptions into EzyVet and SmartFlowSupport client communication, scheduling, and procedure estimatesCross-train with other departments to expand your skills and support hospital flowWho We Are Looking ForPrevious experience in a veterinary clinical setting preferredStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsConfidence handling and restraining patients for procedures and diagnosticsUnderstanding of EzyVet, SmartFlow, or similar platforms is a plusWillingness to work in full PPE during chemotherapy sessionsA desire to grow, learn, and collaborate in a high-touch specialty environmentPhysical ability to lift up to 45 lbs and assist with larger patientsIf you’re a veterinary technician ready to expand your skills and grow in a specialty practice—we’d love to hear from you.
