Takes in consideration the complexity of patient care needs and the competence and specialized qualifications of each nursing staff member.Supervise and evaluate the nursing care for each patient. Evaluation includes assessing the patient's needs as well as the patient's response to interventions.Maintains professionalism within Acute service, using Behavioral Standards.Analyzes nursing services to continuously improve quality of patient care and obtain maximum utilization of time and abilities.Effectively communicates both verbal and written information.Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient/personnel information.Initiates emergency support measures, and maintains certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.Participates in quality improvement activities promoting quality patient care.RequirementsCurrently licensed as a registered nurse by the State Board of Nursing for Iowa orcompact state.Med/Surg and ER experience preferred but we are willing to train compassionate nurses with a desire to serve our rural communities.New grads encouraged to apply.
