Remote Senior Linux Kernel & Driver Engineer

We are seeking a talented Linux Kernel and Driver Developer to design and optimize high-performance fabric software for AI and HPC networking solutions.Key Responsibilities IncludeDeveloping, maintaining, and upstreaming open-source device drivers such as the `hfi1` kernel driver and associated subsystems.Collaborating with hardware architects to define interfaces and hardware-software contracts.Designing zero-copy data paths for low-latency, high-throughput RDMA and DMA transport engines.Debugging complex kernel concurrency issues, race conditions, and memory problems.Participating in open-source communities through code reviews, patches, and engagement with Linux Kernel Mailing List.Managing build automation and system testing environments.Qualifications IncludeBS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Over 3 years of experience developing production-grade C code within the Linux kernel.Knowledge of RDMA, InfiniBand, RoCE, or user-space bypass frameworks like libfabric or DPDK.Understanding of PCIe architectures, DMA engines, and hardware interfaces.Proficiency with kernel debugging tools such as KASAN, kmemleak, and ftrace.Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and profiling.Preferred SkillsContributions to upstream kernel projects, especially in networking drivers.Familiarity with kernel storage protocols and GPU-direct technologies.
