DescriptionTitle: Massage TherapistDepartment: SpaReports to: Spa DirectorFLSA Status: Non-exemptSummary:The Massage Therapist is responsible for client satisfaction by providing competent and professional service and massage therapy at The Spa at acac.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerforms professional massage therapy ensuring acac's standards of excellence are upheldGathers complete and accurate information on new spa patronsKeeps comprehensive and professional notes of services and treatments provided to membersRestocks and dispenses supplies and products to members and guestConsistently reviews and updates knowledge of Spa services, products and offeringsEnsures that treatment room and work space are clean and neat at all times, performing proper clean up and restocking at the end of each serviceFollows all current sanitation standards for service implementsEnsures that assigned shifts are covered before taking leaveAs needed or requested, assist the spa receptionistEnsures ongoing familiarity with acac programsDuring any down-time on shift, promote the acac spa and services throughout the clubTraining provided by acac; maintain current certification for the duration of your employmentRequirementsPrior massage therapy experienceSuperior customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsHighly dependable and promptWilling to help both within and outside of the parameters of this positionMust to able to work the weekend shiftsAble to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekend and holidaysCurrent CPR, First Aid, and AED certification a plusMust be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend the duration of the shiftMust be able to lift and carry up to 20 poundsEducation and Experience:* Must have a valid Virginia Massage Therapy License* High School Diploma or GED preferredPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:* Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, and reach throughout a shift.* Must be able to use hands and fingers.acac Company Expectations:Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member HandbookPark in team member-designated areasClub cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and cleanAssist with Service DayAssist with acac programs, special events, or activities outside your departmentPromptly return messagesExhibit a positive attitude at all timesDeliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times
