Coating Operator - 1st shift
JOB SUMMARY
1st shift - Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, OT as needed.
This role requires a fine attention to detail and is ideal for someone who enjoys skilled, precise work. The Coating Operator will apply paints, coatings, silkscreen designs, and other finishes in a spray booth environment, ensuring each part meets quality and visual standards. The position combines craftsmanship, consistency, and adherence to safety and process protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Prior experience with foam, carbon fiber, plastic or more highly preferred.
Candidates must be willing to begin employment through a staffing agency for a temporary period before being considered for direct hire.
Supply quality outputs in a timely manner to other departments. Interact with other manufacturing departments, follow safe work practices and quality procedures. Learn correct procedures for: housekeeping, safety, machine/equipment use, department procedures, inspection, equipment maintenance, and processing department paperwork (i.e. prints and work orders).

We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual with strong communication skills and a desire to grow. Prior CNC or blueprint reading experience is a plus, but not required. If you're mechanically inclined, team-oriented, and ready to take on a hands-on role in a clean, organized, and quality-driven environment.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
Manufacture of Products
Read and understand product requirements to produce quality parts through work orders, work instructions, and blueprints.
Utilize proper housekeeping procedures; keep the department clean and organized at all times.
Follow safe work practices (safety glasses, protective shoes, etc.)
Accurate use of measuring devices
Communicate improvement ideas and suggestions to team leaders or management regarding process, procedures, materials, environment, etc.
Follow directions given.
Properly use materials to maximize production.
Utilize good communication verbally and in writing to communicate with co-workers and management.
Quality Management
Utilize and comply with the Quality Management System
Self-inspect parts to ensure quality requirements and specs are met.
Ensure quality at the source by noticing and reporting defects in products or documentation, whether done by the operator or someone else
Follow proper NCR procedure when a non-conforming part is encountered.
Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude

General computer skills or ability to learn
Prior manufacturing/construction/laborer experience is preferred
