Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years PACU experience Must have prior travel experience within the last 12 months License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: AHA BLS ACLS PALS Must-Have: Airway management knowledge Anesthesia recovery knowledge Pain management knowledge Ability to float to other units as needed Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a PACU position. The nurse will be responsible for the recovery of patients following surgery. Candidates must possess knowledge of airway management and pain management. The role includes working in preoperative and extended care settings. Experience in critical care is preferred. Possession of additional certifications such as CCRN or CPAN is a plus. The ability to manage a variety of procedures, including outpatient surgeries, is essential. The average daily patient census is approximately 50. Candidates should be prepared to work closely with interdisciplinary teams and support services. The position may require floating to different departments as per the needs of the facility. Maintaining patient safety and comfort during recovery is a top priority. Strong communication skills and patient education abilities are required.
