Senior Accounting Analyst

Our client, a growing professional services organization, is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to support financial operations, reporting, and strategic analysis within a collaborative finance team. This role offers strong exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, operational reporting, and business decision support.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills, experience in complex accounting environments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close activitiesSupport financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAssist with the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and management reportsPerform profitability analysis, operational reporting, and ad hoc financial analysisSupport audit activities and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesAssist with sales and use tax filings and related compliance activitiesContribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancementsSupport financial due diligence and integration efforts related to acquisitions or strategic projectsPartner with operational leaders and department managers to provide financial guidance and reporting supportInvestigate accounting discrepancies and escalate critical issues when necessaryParticipate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance functionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required6–8+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processesExperience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysisAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredERP system experience preferredExperience supporting multi-state tax filings is a plusPrior experience in professional services, engineering, construction, or project-based environments preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organizationHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlinesWhat We’re Looking ForA proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and cross-functional teamsSomeone who enjoys improving processes and building efficienciesA professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesCollaborative and team-oriented culture
