CNC Operator

Location: Cleveland, OhioHire Type: Contract to hireShift:1st Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PMCompensation: $20 an hourBenefits: As a contract employee of Sterling, you are eligible to receive a Full Employee Benefits Package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, 3 medical plans to choose from, dental & vision plans, 401(k), and an Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) plan.Must Have Skill Set (if applicable):Overview:The CNC Operator is responsible for writing, modifying, and troubleshooting CNC programs to produce precision steel parts while ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficient machine operation.Job Duties:Operates assigned CNC machines including Johnford, Rockford, and VoortmanRead / interpret drawings / part specifications and verify / adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machiningMake necessary offset changes to be within allowable tolerancesChange insertsVerify conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges; Fill out inspection reports as requiredClean machined parts to ensure ready for assemblyQualifications:HS diploma or equivalentCNC multi-axis training and experience preferredMinimum 3 to 12 months CNC multi-axis machine operator experience preferredAbility to multitask and work with minimal supervisionMust be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracyMust be able to read and use tape measureQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
