About the Role As a Lead CNC Manufacturing Programmer, you will drive the production of high-precision, complex components by transforming digital designs into efficient machining strategies. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our shop floor performance, ensuring that every part meets rigorous quality standards from initial programming through final prove-out. Responsibilities Develop advanced multi-axis toolpaths and machining processes for complex mill and lathe operations. Translate SolidWorks models and technical prints into high-performance CNC programs. Optimize production workflows by selecting appropriate tooling and workholding strategies. Execute program prove-outs on the shop floor to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining, tooling, or programming challenges in real-time. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to setup machinists to enhance team capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability and streamline production cycles. Qualifications Required Skills 8+ years of professional experience in CNC programming within a job shop environment. Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam and comprehensive experience with SolidWorks. Extensive background in multi-axis programming for both milling and turning centers. Deep understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and tight-tolerance machining. Proven ability to edit post-processors and utilize macro or parametric programming. Preferred Skills Experience with lights-out manufacturing and automated production systems. Background in assisting with quoting processes and manufacturability assessments. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage projects independently. Familiarity with diverse CNC control systems and advanced inspection techniques.
