Location: On-site – Wichita, KSTenure: Ongoing ContractRelocation: Open to candidates willing to relocateLooking forIntermediate Stress Engineer: 5–10 yearsSenior Stress Engineer: 11+ yearsCustomer Program: Support for Spirit AeroSystems / BoeingProgram DetailsThis role supports Boeing aircraft programs including:Boeing 737 (primarily metallic structure)Boeing 777 (hybrid structure)Boeing 787 (primarily composite structure)Experience with Boeing processes (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3) is a strong plus.Candidates must have hands-on experience in Static and Fatigue analysis.Role Overview – MRB Stress EngineerThe Stress Engineer will assess and approve structural repairs for aerospace non-conformities (in-service components). The role focuses on maintaining structural integrity while minimizing production delays.Key Responsibilities:Perform structural impact analysis on aircraft componentsConduct static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysesDevelop and validate repair solutions in compliance with FAA/EASA/FAR standardsReview and approve engineering drawingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (design, materials, manufacturing)Support production teams in resolving structural issuesDocument engineering justifications and reportsEnsure compliance with AS9100 standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)5–10 years (Intermediate) OR 11+ years (Senior) in aerospace stress analysisExperience with metallic and/or composite aircraft structuresFEM/FEA experience in the aircraft industryProficiency in PATRAN, NASTRANKnowledge of static and fatigue analysisStrong documentation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks under tight schedulesExperience with DTA tools (CRPR for DADT analysis) is a plus but not mandatory.If this opportunity aligns with your experience and career goals, I would be happy to schedule a time to discuss further.
