Procurement Specialist (Carlyle, IL)

Duties and Functions: Receive requisitions and process purchase orders for various areas of the business. Determine the most economical and value-added solution to all aspects of procurement including item sourcing, vendor selection, transportation methods, delivery locations, and route scheduling. Management of inventory for all regional maintenance warehouses to ensure optimal stocking levels at each location. Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate and timely matching between invoice and purchase orders. Participate in on-going cross-functional training efforts in purchasing as well as other business units. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing Periodically present to various groups up to the Executive Team level Assist with larger scale projects including the planning of installation, project timelines, and procurement of necessary materials. Minimum Qualifications Education Associates Degree required (Bachelor’s Degree is preferred) Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Related Field Experience Three years of procurement experience Experience in live animal production may be considered Licenses/Certifications Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Applications Inventory control and management Procurement best-practices Skilled in: Organizational and time management in order to accomplish tasks Communication with a diverse range of customers and vendors Ability to: Work independently as well as in a team environment Work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment Prioritize tasks and follow through to execution Present information to various levels of the organization The Maschhoffs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers an exceptional benefits package!
