ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Law Clerk provides legal research support, drafts pleadings and motions, prepares deposition summaries, and assists attorneys with trial preparation, all while working a flexible part time schedule that aligns with academic commitments. This role offers a clear growth path, with the potential to transition into a full time clerkship after the bar exam and advance to an associate position upon passing the bar.Primary Job Duties:Perform legal research utilizing electronic sourcesAssist attorneys in drafting of briefs and motionsPrepare research memoranda, draft pleadings, discovery, and motionsHelp attorneys prepare for depositions and trialsAnalyze deposition transcripts and prepare summaries.Key Competencies:Communicating - Legal Professionals provide the information required by others in a concise, direct, and unambiguous way. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.RequirementsCurrently enrolled as a 3rd year law student at an accredited law schoolStrong legal research and writing skillsFamiliarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and citation formatsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platformsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor and attention to detail
