Family Law Paralegal

If this sounds like a job you'll love, apply below.Responsibilities:Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motionsPrepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyerHold client interviews to gather information about their legal problemsCoordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process serversTake care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documentsAssist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, and legal briefsSupport trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal researchPerform administrative duties, including answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing systemConduct client interviews to gather information about legal mattersAssist attorneys with filesCommunicate with clients consistently regarding updates and changes to their caseQualifications:Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferredAt least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingTalented communicator and writerExcellent organizational skills, and time-management skillsABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desired2+ years as a Family Law Paralegal in the state of TexasProfessional paralegal certification or advanced paralegal educationClear, concise, and effective communication skills, as well as proficiency in writing and grammarProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), and familiarity with legal softwareStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, as well as a positive attitudeAbility to reliably commute to Austin, TX 78746About Company:What Makes Kimbrough Legal the Best Place to Work: Kimbrough Legal, PLLC, provides clients in Austin, Houston, Round Rock, San Antonio, Killeen, and surrounding areas with bold, passionate legal representation for divorce and family law cases.
