Regional Operations Manager - Veterinary Services & Team Development
DescriptionYou will play a crucial role in the growth and success of a number of facilities within your region. Your focus will be on effective management, team development, and promoting seamless communication between the field and the central office. Collaborating with practice managers will be essential to enhance processes and profitability through targeted growth initiatives and milestone achievements.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Area Managers to recruit and select skilled Practice Managers for new growth opportunities and current openings.Oversee the training and ongoing development of new Practice Managers, focusing on financial and operational skills.Work closely with the Vice President of Operations to review and manage personnel development, hiring plans, budgets, and schedules to support facility success.Manage the integration process for newly acquired facilities, providing on-site management during the initial week.Serve as a liaison between the Vice President of Operations and facility leadership to align communication and ensure staff commitment to strategic goals.Collaborate with veterinarians and facility teams to resolve customer complaints promptly.Ensure high standards of pet care and oversee quality assurance measures.Create and maintain accurate monthly and quarterly reports.Escalate personnel and customer-related issues to the central office as necessary.Ensure facilities are documenting employee onboarding, safety, job training, and performance management effectively.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure timely completion of required training.Monitor and improve the overall performance of each site.Complete additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.Career DevelopmentOpportunities for career advancement may include roles such as Director of Operations.Qualifications & SkillsKnowledge of veterinary medicine.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong financial management, planning, and supervisory abilities.Effective conflict resolution skills.Critical thinking and active listening abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with good judgment and professionalism.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Commitment to upholding core values.RequirementsAbility to travel up to 75% of the time (4 field days and 1 office day per week).Experienced in public speaking and presentations.Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3+ years of progressive management experience in a multi-site healthcare or pet operations environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to waist height.Proficient in Google Suite, computer skills, and ezyVet.Ability to read and interpret financial statements.Knowledge of regulations governing veterinary clinics and state and federal safety standards.Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.Employment Type: Full-Time
