Director Business Development, Northwest/ San Francisco
Identifies and develops new business opportunities.Builds relationships with customers, CRO's, partners.Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn't.Develop and implement plans for territory to meet sales goals established at the territory levelIdentify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customersManages current client relationships with emphasis on radiating within established accounts and identifying and attaining new accounts.Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands.Works closely with other sales groups, marketing, operations, and client relationship management teams.Present a professional sales image in all business mattersDevelops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.Tracks emerging markets and trends.Represent Resolian at trade shows, conferences and any local thought leadership meetings/scientific forums.Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.Proposes and develops strategic partnerships.Helps to shape the company's long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them. Researches and identifies new markets, trends and technologies that may influence customer perception and decisionsOutcomes expected:Achievement of annual and quarterly targets (TBD)Grow sales within territory by 20% annuallyOpen a target number of new accounts annually, total number dependent on regionEnsure SalesForce CRM is updated weekly (Accounts, Contacts, Leads & Opportunities) to track touch points and follow-up appropriatelySupport visits to US site(s) for all clients within territory; attend local tradeshows, industry meetings and conferencesBachelor's Degree from an accredited institution requiredMinimum 3+ years life science sales experience, preferably in bioanalysis or related rolesScientific background with experience in bioanalysis (LC-MS/MS or immunoassay) strongly preferredStrong track record of sales success and experience developing, implementing, executing and measuring success with account plansA demonstrated track record of strong communication skills in previous positions, both written and verbalProven ability to think strategically and problem solve.Desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.Must be able to perform all responsibilities of the positionAbility to work in a virtual and field-based environmentValid Driver's license is required for this position; local & national travel required for this position
