Technical Account Manager

Do you thrive at the intersection of technical expertise, customer collaboration and commercial impact?If so, you may be the new Technical Account Manager we are looking for at BHJ Dry Petfood Ingredients.About the RoleAs a Technical Account Manager, you will be a key member of our commercial organisation, acting as the technical bridge between our sales teams, R&D functions, and the technical departments of our customers. Your work will directly support BHJ’s strategy of expanding our ingredient ecosystem within the dry petfood segment.With strong formulation competencies and in‑depth process knowledge, you will help customers optimise their formulations, enhance product performance and identify innovative ingredient applications. You will also play a vital role in positioning BHJ as a preferred partner for petfood manufacturers worldwide.ResponsibilitiesAdvise customers and internal teams on formulation development, ingredient use and process optimisation for dry petfood and snacks.Participate in client meetings as the technical expert, presenting ideas, solutions and improvements.Provide hands‑on guidance on areas such as:Recipe structure and ingredient functionalitySlurry dosing and pre‑conditioningKibble texture, shape and structureCoating, drying and technology considerations for palatants and fatsWork closely with the commercial team to identify opportunities for growth and value creation.Collaborate with BHJ’s global Dry Petfood Ingredients organisation.Contribute actively to our co‑creation approach, working jointly with customers to elevate product performance and innovation.What You BringMinimum 5 years of experience in the petfood industry.Proven track record in developing formulations and/or process technologies for dry petfood and/or snacks.A relevant academic degree (e.g. engineering, biology, nutrition, veterinary science).Strong understanding of ingredient manufacturing, functional raw materials and flavouring technologies.Excellent communication skills, enabling you to simplify complex topics and influence key decision‑makers.A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across commercial and technical functions.Solid business acumen and a results‑oriented approach.Fluent English; Danish, German, Spanish or Polish is an advantage.Willingness to travel up to 30%.We are looking for someone who naturally:Builds strong relationships internally and externally.Communicates clearly, confidently and convincingly.Shows persistence, professionalism and problem‑solving abilities.Takes initiative and enjoys driving innovation and product improvements.Thrives working with both technical depth and commercial impact.LocationFlexible within the EU.
