System Architect

A Sr. Systems Architect is responsible for designing, planning, and governing the overall architecture of enterprise systems, applications, integrations, and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures that systems are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business and IT strategies. The Systems Architect collaborates with business partners, application teams, infrastructure engineers, and leadership to understand business needs, translate them into architectural solutions, and provide ongoing architectural guidance across the project lifecycle. The Systems Architect also helps modernize the organization's technology landscape through enterprise architecture frameworks such as LeanIX and TOGAF, while identifying opportunities for automation and AI‑enabled enhancements. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and document system architectures, solution designs, standards, and specificationsTranslate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high‑performing systems solutionsCreate diagrams, interface specifications, logical models, and “as‑built” architectural documentationEvaluate new technologies and present recommendations for system modernizationProvide architectural support for SLP (Service Lifecycle Process) initiatives and cross‑functional projectsCollaborate with business and technical teams to gather, refine, and validate requirementsGuide and support implementation teams to ensure solutions align with approved architectural designsPresent architectural decisions, risks, and recommendations to leadershipApply enterprise architecture frameworks such as LeanIX and TOGAF to support systems governanceDefine and enforce architecture standards, integration patterns, and best practicesEnsure systems designs meet enterprise security, compliance, performance, and scalability requirementsMaintain system and application architecture artifacts across the lifecycleIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, or optimize systems architecture and operationsSupport the design and adoption of AI agents to assist in systems management and architectural activitiesRecommend improvements to integration patterns, data flow, and system interoperability RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience required6+ years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or related technical roles requiredStrong experience designing and implementing enterprise system architectures requiredExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) including PaaS and serverless architectures requiredFamiliarity with databases, data modeling, and data flow design preferredBackground designing or supporting microservices, containerized workloads, or modern cloud‑native architectures preferredUnderstanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines preferredExposure to AIOps or AI‑assisted operational tooling preferredKnowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)TOGAF certification preferredITIL 4 certification (Foundation or higher) preferredDeep understanding of application architecture, integration patterns (API‑based, messaging, ETL), and system interoperabilityProficiency with architecture and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, LeanIX)Understanding of infrastructure components (compute, storage, virtualization) and how they support applicationsFamiliarity with databases, data modeling, and data flow design
