System Administrator
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator I to join our IT team. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to grow their knowledge and experience. (Minimum of at least 3 years of IT Helpdesk, System Administration or a combination).The System Administrator I will provide technical support and systems administration across the organization’s technology environment. This role will support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune Endpoint Management, Windows Server infrastructure, Hyper-V virtualization, networking, and end-user support. Experience in PowerShell, Power BI and SQL are a bonus.The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically curious, organized, and eager to learn modern IT systems and best practices in the construction industry.Key Responsibilities:Microsoft Entra ID & Microsoft 365 AdministrationAssist with user account provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and access managementSupport Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration including MFA, Conditional Access, and user identity troubleshootingManage Microsoft 365 licensing, group memberships, and user permissionsTroubleshoot authentication, email, and Microsoft 365-related issuesEndpoint Management & Windows 11 SupportSupport device deployment and management using Microsoft Intune & AutopilotSupport Windows 11 endpoints, configuration & compliance policies, updates, and security baselinesConfigure laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral hardwareAssist the helpdesk in maintaining IT asset inventory and lifecycle management processesWindows Server & VirtualizationAssist with administration of Windows Server environmentsSupport Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and print servicesHelp manage and monitor Hyper-V virtual machines and infrastructureParticipate in server patching, maintenance, backups, and recovery proceduresNetworking & InfrastructureSupport basic network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN connectivityAssist with wireless networking, switches, and firewall-related supportMonitor system performance and escalate infrastructure issues as neededUser Support & Help DeskProvide Tier 2+ support for employees across multiple locationsTroubleshoot hardware, software, VPN, Teams, printer, and connectivity issuesRespond to service requests and incidents in a timely and professional mannerDocument technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutionsDeliver exceptional customer service to both office and field personnelQualifications:RequiredMinimum of an Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent work experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk environmentsFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra IDExperience with Windows Server administration including managing physical servers.Experience supporting Windows 11 devicesFoundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCPStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyPreferredExperience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platformsExposure to Hyper-V or other virtualization technologiesFamiliarity with PowerShell scriptingExperience with ticketing systems and IT documentationKnowledge of cybersecurity best practicesIndustry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plusReporting Including Power BI & SQL is a plusBenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) – accrues starting day one!Holiday PayCompany-Paid Life InsuranceShort- & Long-Term Disability Insurance401(k) with Company MatchHealth Savings Account (HSA)Per Diem Allowance for qualifying out-of-town work (meals & lodging support)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Why You’ll Love GBIWe live our values:DRIVEN: Find a Way to Win(Passionate.
