Job SummaryBroadcast IT Engineer needed to join KTTC and KBJR. Responsible for owning the digital backbone of the stations and ensuring our content reaches audiences across all platforms.ResponsibilitiesArchitect the network: Install and maintain computer systems and network infrastructure that power operations.Bridge the gap: Work closely with engineering to implement and maintain crossover systems blending traditional A/V with modern IT.Power the production: Support and maintain automation systems that keep on-air and live production running smoothly.Guard the gates: Implement robust computer and network security policies to protect data and broadcasts.Keep us current: Manage software licensing and ensure all systems are updated for peak performance.Support the mission: Primary contact for corporate IT and maintain internal ticketing system for all departments.Go where the action is: Provide technical assistance for remote broadcasts.QualificationsAdvanced IT chops: Deep understanding of VM systems and Windows Active Directory.Broadcast brain: Understanding of broadcast facility operations and IT integration with A/V equipment.Problem-solving prowess: Capable of troubleshooting from board level, hands-on.Digital-first mindset: Familiar with serial and IP communication in media.Cool under pressure: Handles high-stress news environment and lifts up to 50 lbs.Credentials: Associate's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field (or higher).Experience: At least 2 years with Windows OS, e-mail systems, FTP servers, TCP/IP networking.Collaborative spirit: Team player working with Chief Engineers, department heads, and Corporate IT.BenefitsComprehensive Medical (Rx), Dental, and Vision CoverageHealth Savings Account with Company contributionsFlexible Spending AccountEmployer-paid life and disability benefitsPaid parental leave benefitsAdoption and Surrogacy Benefits401(k) Plan, including matching and profit-sharing contributionsEmployee Assistance ProgramVoluntary benefits, including Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, and supplemental life insurance coveragePaid Time Off, including Relocation PTOFocus on CaringSalary & Work HoursHourly rate: $23.47 - $25.95/hr.Full-time.
