The MICR Engineer will travel regularly to Big Ten sporting events in the assigned territory to connect, quality‐control, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast television equipment including cameras, switchers, video servers, audio, and graphics equipment. This is a remote role that requires the candidate to be based in Michigan and to be available to work flexible hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays.ResponsibilitiesConnect, troubleshoot, and repair feeds during a camera aggregation (M.I.C.R.) event.Diagnose and resolve issues with audio consoles, production support equipment, cameras, video, and intercom systems.Perform quality control of incoming audio and video feeds during events.Maintain equipment for live productions, studio, and other operations across the company.Delegate duties to remote crew during pre‐show set‐up, live broadcast, and striking of events at remote locations.Manage inbound/outbound deliveries, craft services, and payroll sheets for BTN freelance hires.Drive the M.I.C.R. truck to and from events.Execute and complete projects as assigned.Qualifications2+ years of technical degree or equivalent work experience in a television production environment.Strong communication and reasoning skills for troubleshooting.Proficiency with broadcast‐related test equipment (waveform monitors, vectorscopes, multimeters, test signal generators, etc.).Competence in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio).Strong understanding of computer networks, including VLANs, VPNs, and the distinction between layer 2 and layer 3 networking.Foundational knowledge of basic network configurations and troubleshooting support.Availability to work non‐traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as required by the production schedule.Valid CDL Class B driver's license or ability to obtain a Commercial Driver License, pass a DOT Physical, and obtain a medical certificate to drive the M.I.C.R. truck.Training in SPSG and small battery transport.Nice to HaveCAD experience.EEO Statement We are an equal‐opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable law.Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this role is $74,000.00–90,000.00 annually for high‐cost labour markets (e.g., New York City and Los Angeles) and $61,600.00–75,000.00 annually for other U.S. locations. The role is also eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
