Sr. HiTech/Semiconductor Partner Solutions Architect, AMER Partner Industry & Solutions

DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) with domain expertise in the Semiconductor and High-Tech Electronics industry. As a HiTech PSA, you will have the opportunity to deliver on our strategy of accelerating adoption of AWS cloud computing services through our consulting and technology partners and their semiconductor and electronics customers. AWS partners include the largest systems integrators, EDA tool providers, foundries, and innovative technology companies who are using AWS as their cloud platform of choice. This role will focus on working with multiple strategic consulting and technology partners to define and build technical solutions that drive top-of-funnel pipeline creation and deal progression.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in semiconductor design workflows, EDA tool architectures, high-performance computing, storage architectures, and cloud computing, as well as customer-facing and technical sales skills at all levels of a sales organization. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate is an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone partners and customers are eager to engage with and have a strong hands-on approach. They will be the subject matter expert for the Semiconductor/HiTech industry to become a trusted advisor to sales teams and customers, driving customer outcomes through partners. They will be responsible for accelerating customers' cloud adoption in the semiconductor industry, including chip design and verification, electronic design automation (EDA) workloads, manufacturing operations, and innovative uses of Agentic AI in the design, verification and manufacturing processes of semiconductors.AWS partners develop and deploy solutions for customers in the Semiconductor and HiTech Electronics industry including chip designers, foundries, ODMs, OEMs, and IP providers. AWS customers are developing some of the most exciting and innovative semiconductor technologies, and partners are using cloud technologies from AWS such as high-performance compute, scalable storage, job scheduling, license management, and AI/ML capabilities to dramatically accelerate chip design cycles and reduce time-to-market.Key job responsibilitiesWork with semiconductor and HiTech partners and customers to develop top-of-funnel sales opportunities, driving pipeline creation through technical discovery and solution validationPartner with Account SAs, Partner Development Specialists, Sales, and Business Development teams to accelerate customer adoption of partner solutions through technical enablement, architecture workshops, and proof-of-concept engagementsEvangelize partners' value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with semiconductor customers, positioning partner solutions for chip design, verification, EDA workloads, and manufacturing operationsEstablish AWS as the partner's preferred cloud platform for semiconductor and HiTech Electronics solutions, demonstrating technical advantages in high-performance compute, scalable storage, and job schedulingWork alongside AWS Partner Development Specialists to develop extensive executive and senior management relationships within partner organizations and become their trusted technical advisorProvide architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful pre-sales engagements with Hi-Tech partners in AMER, including reference architectures for EDA tool migration and optimization, hardware and chip design solutions, agentic AI adoption, and high performance computing clusters.Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that enable them to sell more of their offerings on the AWS platform, addressing compute requirements, license management, and tiered storage architecturesLead technical validation activities including POCs and POVs with partners and customers to accelerate deal progression and demonstrate AWS value for semiconductor workloadsCapture and share best-practice knowledge with the broader Solutions Architect community, documenting semiconductor-specific patterns and anti-patternsShare customer and partner feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS services for the semiconductor industryBasic Qualifications- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience- 10+ years experience working directly with Semiconductor or OEM customers on cloud and AI adoption.Preferred Qualifications- Deep industry knowledge of semiconductor and HPC providers and their technology and consulting partner landscape.- Experience working with consulting partners through solution alignment, account management, product management, program management and business development engagements- Experience working in a technical pre-sales environment, progressing sales opportunities and maintaining sales pipeline hygeine.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
