Job Title: Application Security Engineer – DAST/EngineeringLocation: Charlotte, NCDuration: 12 MonthsPosition Overview: Seeking an Application Security Engineer to split time between DAST security strategy (~60%) and hands-on engineering (~40%). This role calls for strong conceptual security knowledge rather than deep experience with any single tool.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate DAST architecture, current solutions, and deployment approachExplore integration of AI into security tooling and pipelinesIntegrate DAST into CI/CD pipelinesServe as subject-matter expert for DAST scanners and testersUpdate and maintain security scan policiesOwn road mapping and program strategy, including what to scan and workflow developmentQualifications:Strong conceptual understanding of application security and dynamic application security testing (DAST) principlesExperience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelinesAbility to serve as a subject-matter expert on DAST scanning tools and processesExperience developing and maintaining security scan policies and program roadmapsPreferredFamiliarity with tools such as Zap and Postman
