Were seeking a Director of Quality Control who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Director of Quality Control leads our Quality Engineering team and partners closely with Operations Managers to drive quality related improvements as well as Quality Management System (QMS) development and deployment. This role is responsible for oversight of the management of change process, the improvement of the QMS, establishing quality KPI's, creating a document control system, implementing control plans and establishing a supplier quality program. Success in this role means creating and implementing a robust QMS for all key manufacturing lines, which would include a system of continuous improvement driven by cost of poor quality KPI's and industry standard problem-solving techniques.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHDevelop a strong team dedicated to leading the cross-functional implementation of a robust QMS.Implement new processes that lead to improved product quality.Decrease the cost of poor quality through the use of industry standard problem-solving techniques.Lead the alignment of the Duro-Last QMS with Amrize Building Envelope standards.Play an important role in new product launches and the Product Lifecycle Management process.Develop a culture of quality focused continuous improvement1. Establish and continuously improve the Quality Management System for the Duro-Last business unit - including all manufacturing sites and brands.Manage and develop the Quality Control team to support world class operational performance through execution of standard best practices.Work with cross-functional groups within the Product Lifecycle Management process to launch new products and tools.Administer and oversee the change management system for the Duro-Last business unit with a focus on reducing quality risks associated with changes to materials, process and equipment.Execute a system of continuous improvement around Duro-Last's Cost of Poor Quality measurement to achieve a world class level of performance.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred.A minimum of 5 years in a Quality focused management role within a manufacturing environment.Six Sigma training preferred.Basic MS Office, Excel, Minitab, Process mapping software.15% overnight travel and an additional 10% local travel.Must have knowledge of statistical process control in relationship to manufacturing operations.Must have prior experience implementing a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment.Additional Requirements:Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salaryRetirement Savings: Choose from 401(k) pre-tax and/or Roth after-tax savingsEmployee Stock Purchase Plan Medical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance Holistic Health & Well-being programsHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for health and dependent careVision and other Voluntary benefits and discountsPaid time off & paid holidaysPaid Parental Leave (maternity & paternity)Educational Assistance ProgramDuro-LastLI-OnsiteLI-TV1Amrize is an equal opportunity employer.
