Quality Engineer

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer at our facility located in Frankenmuth, Michigan. As a Quality Engineer, you'll play an instrumental role in developing and maintaining quality processes, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the business. This role is critical to delivering high-quality products that meet customer expectations and internal performance goals. You will support production teams, solve problems, and help strengthen the systems and processes that directly impact product quality, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and our ability to achieve both company and customer objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer requirements.Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues.Provide technical support for inspection, audit, and testing activities for machined components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements, with the ability to assist directly in hands-on verification when needed.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.Create and maintain documentation for quality procedures, inspection plans, and process controls.Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring quality considerations are integrated into design and manufacturing processes.Train employees on quality standards, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives.Work with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related concerns and drive improvements.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or quality with at least 3 years of quality engineering experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment (In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, at least 7 years).Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 and/or AS9100) and regulatory compliance, GD&T, metrology, and machining processes.Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.).This position requires compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.
