Client Account AssistantCooley is seeking a Client Account Assistant to join the Accounting team.Position summary: Under the direction of the Client Account Manager or Supervisor, the Client Account Assistant is responsible for providing routine and basic client billing support to the Client Account Managers, Supervisors and department. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Position responsibilities:Responsible for distribution, logging, preparation, processing, and mailing of client billingProvide prompt and accurate assistance to attorneys, clients, business professionals and billing team to resolve billing problemsProvide cost backup documentationResearch all inquiries regarding past and present billingFile and prepare past month's billing for electronic scanningReview and summarize engagement letters pertaining to special financial agreementsEnter financial arrangements in accounting systemImplement and maintain client and matter databaseAll other duties as assigned or requiredSkills and experience:Required:After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applicationsStrong Excel skillsAvailable to work overtime, as requiredPreferred:Bachelor's degreePrior experience (e.g., billing and/or accounting)Prior law firm experienceGeneral knowledge of accounting conceptsPrevious 3E and electronic billing experience10 key by touchCompetencies:Quick learnerExcellent follow through, accuracy, initiative, and math skillsAbility to successfully maintain and promote attorney and client relationsProfessional demeanorExcellent organizational, communication (verbal and listening) and writing skillsAbility to work under tight deadlinesAbility to interact and work well with others (co-workers and vendors)Cooley offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package and is committed to fair and equitable employment practices. EOE.The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week is $30.25 - $36.00 ($58,987.50 - $70,200.00 annually).
