This position is instrumental in supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) initiatives, focusing on developing advanced software solutions for space-based effects and air domain missions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software development efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet complex customer requirements.QualificationsCandidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, data science, or related fields. A minimum of five years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in Java and/or C++, is required. Applicants must have an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance and at least three years of experience leading software development projects. Familiarity with MATLAB and experience working in multi-contract or multi-program environments are highly desirable. Additional qualifications include strong communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to adapt to evolving technological landscapes.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of software development tasks, including detailed design, coding, and comprehensive testing of features aligned with customer needs and acceptance criteria.Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and translate these into software specifications and models that ensure performance, operational effectiveness, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.Conduct system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and lead mitigation efforts across the software lifecycle to ensure project success.Oversee code reviews to maintain adherence to requirements and industry standards, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.Monitor testing processes, verify completion, and coordinate issue resolution to ensure software integrity and functionality.Review product and process alignment with project plans and industry standards, tracking team and supplier performance to meet project milestones.Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering professional development and technical excellence within the team.Interface with development teams across various programming languages and technologies, ensuring seamless integration and system interoperability.BenefitsBoeing offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to attract, engage, and retain top talent.
