This role offers an exciting opportunity for software engineers to contribute to the development of safety-critical and mission-critical flight software for advanced aerospace applications. As part of a collaborative, integrated product team, you will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation, testing, and documentation. The role emphasizes Agile methodologies, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and a focus on code quality, security, and automation. Candidates with experience in sensor fusion, mission management, resource management, and related areas will find this position particularly rewarding.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with relevant professional experience. Familiarity with systems integration, real-time operating systems, and embedded software development is highly desirable. Candidates should also have strong communication skills, team collaboration abilities, and a solid understanding of software development processes. Preferred qualifications include experience with Agile methodologies, embedded real-time systems, and industry-standard tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and development frameworks like VxWorks or Linux.ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Missions Systems Software Engineer, your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining embedded software that integrates seamlessly with hardware components to meet industry, safety, and regulatory standards. You will analyze customer requirements and translate them into robust software solutions tailored for specialized embedded systems. Your role involves building and writing code for real-time, safety-critical applications, ensuring optimal performance and stability. You will also be responsible for integrating embedded software with hardware, monitoring system performance, and implementing improvements. Additionally, you will evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and regulatory changes to keep the software stack current. Collaborating within an Agile team, you will contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, implementation, verification, and documentation.
