We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations while delivering a consistent, responsive, and high-quality employee experience. This role provides broad-based support across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR systems, while also taking on increased ownership of processes and problem-solving.The Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are executed effectively, and that issues are addressed with sound judgment and appropriate escalation.ResponsibilitiesEmployee Support & HR OperationsServe as a primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and solutions-oriented supportHandle routine employee relations matters (questions, basic issue resolution) and escalate more complex situations appropriatelySupport consistent application of HR policies and practicesRecruiting & OnboardingCoordinate recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer support Own onboarding logistics and execution to ensure a strong, consistent new hire experienceCollaborate with the HR Business Partner to ensure a smooth hiring and onboarding processBenefits & HR AdministrationSupport benefits administration, employee questions, and enrollment processesAssist with leave administration and trackingEnsure accuracy and timeliness of employee data within HRIS (JDE)/ASANAHR Systems, Data & ComplianceMaintain employee records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentialityConduct regular audits of HR data and files to ensure compliance and completenessPrepare standard reports and support HR metrics trackingEmployee ExperienceSupport execution of employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and HR-led activitiesAssist with internal communications and HR program coordinationContribute to creating a consistent and positive employee experience across the organizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred1-3 years of HR experience (not just administrative if possible)Experience supporting multiple HR functions (recruiting, ER, benefits, HRIS)SHRM member and working toward certification preferredRequired SkillsStrong judgment in handling employee questions and routine issuesAbility to balance administrative execution with problem-solvingHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsEffective communication skills with ability to interact across all levels of the organizationComfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environmentDemonstrated discretion with confidential informationProficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (JDE or similar)Please note we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.We offer a competitive benefit and compensation package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, company paid life insurance, company paid long term disability insurance, paid holidays, and earned time off.To access different languages for the application process, click START YOUR APPLICATION.
