Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.The Quality Engineer ensures that products and processes meet quality standards through inspection, testing, analysis, and implementation of improvements. This role also ensures compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The Quality Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering and supply chain to investigate quality issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.This role will be located onsite in Riverside - CA.Work Shift: Second shift (Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm)What You Will DoSupports manufacturing processes and product builds to ensure they comply with Quality and Engineering requirements.Leads problem solving initiatives & challenges status quo (e.g., root cause and corrective action investigations, OEE, FPY, customer escapes).Supports analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes.Interfaces with fellow quality and manufacturing engineers, structures design engineers, engineering management, operations, quality inspectors, shop floor personnel, and external vendors.Assists senior quality and manufacturing technical staff in cross-discipline technical initiatives involving design, quality, equipment, testing, Material Review Board (MRB) and Materials & Process engineers.Participates in continuous improvement for established processes for further improvement of quality, speed, and cost.Supports AS9102 FAI (First Article Inspection) Review.Responsible for managing time and being organized with daily tasks.Work with team members, customers, suppliers and in a team environment.Read, write, speak, and understand work instructions, both verbal and written, perform basic math calculations and conduct self-inspection / audit.Qualifications You Must HaveA degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.Experience working in a manufacturing environmentExperience interpreting and understanding technical drawings/reports, manuals, and work instructionsQualifications We PreferBasic knowledge of Statistical Process Controls and Capability analysisStrong communication skills and ability to work on a teamExperience with AS9100 Quality Management SystemExperience with AS9102 First Article Inspection RequirementsSix Sigma, CORE, Shainin RedX Problem Solving, or ASQ CertificationWhat We OfferMedical, dental, and vision insuranceThree weeks of vacation for newly hired employeesGenerous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds and separate employer retirement contribution, including a Lifetime Income Strategy optionTuition reimbursement programStudent Loan Repayment ProgramLife insurance and disability coverageOptional coverages you can buy pet insurance, home and auto insurance, additional life and accident insurance, critical illness insurance, group legal, ID theft protectionBirth, adoption, parental leave benefitsOvia Health, fertility, and family planningAdoption AssistanceAutism BenefitEmployee Assistance Plan, including up to 10 free counseling sessionsHealthy You Incentives, wellness rewards programDoctor on Demand, virtual doctor visitsBright Horizons, child and elder care servicesTeladoc Medical Experts, second opinion programAnd more!Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions.
