Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer (MS SQL Server | Azure | PowerShell | SSIS | Windows Server)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and automate enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, Windows Server, PowerShell, SSIS, and infrastructure automation. This role focuses on database administration, performance tuning, automation, disaster recovery, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, provision, and maintain enterprise database infrastructure using Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, and Windows Server.
Develop and maintain PowerShell and SSIS scripts to automate database administration, deployments, backups, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
Design, schedule, monitor, and optimize automated database jobs, ETL workflows, and maintenance plans.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot production issues, optimize SQL queries, and implement indexing strategies.
Configure and maintain High Availability (HA), backup, disaster recovery (DR), and failover environments.
Manage database security, user access, permissions, and ensure compliance with organizational data governance and security standards.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments, IIS administration, and database integration.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, storage, networking, and database-related issues in production environments.
Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and application deployment processes.
Provide on-call support for critical production systems as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud.
7+ years of experience with PowerShell and SSIS scripting and automation.
Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, storage systems, networking, and database administration.
Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise production environments.
Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and .NET applications.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Required Certifications (Mandatory)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Microsoft SQL Server Certification or equivalent

Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
