Join our team to make a difference in healthcare while advancing your career with Renovo.Summary:Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a critical role in leading the day-to-day activities of the Accounting department. Assistant Controller will take ownership of core accounting and reporting processes, and ensure financial duties are carried out effectively, accurately, and in a timely fashion.The ideal candidate is someone who brings a positive attitude and strong business acumen to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a Hybrid role that requires at least 3 days/week onsite at our Irvine, CA. Corporate HQ.What you will do:Oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including responsibility for the monthly close process across multiple locationsAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting packagesAssist in the preparation and review of journal entries and key balance sheet account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies/proceduresProvide accounting guidance to internal teams (i.e. A/R, A/P, Procurement, Operations, IT, HR, Payroll, etc.) by understanding the underlying transactions and researching/interpreting the company accounting policies and procedures to ensure accordance with GAAPIdentify, implement and monitor scalable process improvementsSupervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountantsAnalyze P&L fluctuations and prepare a detailed monthly variance analysis, including identification of the underlying business driversResolve challenging issues appropriately and communicate in a timely, clear and concise mannerAssist with acquisition integration into accounting systems, financial reporting and other areas as determined by Senior ManagementPartner with the Corporate Controller and other relevant business partners to ensure all new business initiatives are appropriately accounted for and recorded correctly in the general ledgerLiaise with external auditors and prepare various audit schedulesEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filingsManage and direct system implementations, upgrades, and improvement projectsParticipate in special projects and other ad hoc duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor 's degree in Accounting with a minimum of seven years of relevant and progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls experienceCPA and public accounting experience highly desirableSupervisory experience managing a team, including remote workersMust be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to operate in various software systems with advanced Microsoft Office skillsExperience with private equity held companies preferred; experience in a healthcare or healthcare services company a plusTravel Requirements:Up to 15% travel within North AmericaClassification:FLSA: Exempt**Note:** This position description does not list every activity, duty, and responsibility of the position and may be altered by RENOVO at any time.EEO StatementRENOVO Solutions provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
