Whether you're just starting your career or looking to grow in a new direction, you'll find opportunities to thrive, lead, and make a meaningful impact here.In response to a physician's referral, a PTA provides PT services according to the State Board of Physical Therapy (GA or SC), CMS, and other regulatory agencies and within the scope of his/her training, knowledge, and experience. A PTA may perform PT procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the supervising PT. These treatments may include, but are not limited to, functional mobility training, therapeutic exercise, modality procedures, and wound care. Direct patient care is provided to individuals, infant to geriatric, as their expertise and caseload demands. PTA will coordinate and provide patient and family education, determine the need for additional, appropriate referrals, execute effective PT services, participate in educational programs and perform non-patient care responsibilities as assigned. Participation in program development and QA/CQI activities is required.
