QC Inspector (ATSO)Astronics Subsidiary Astronics Test SystemsLocation Orlando, FloridaDescription**General Summary:**Astronics Test Systems is seeking a Quality Control Inspector with experience in the aerospace industry and astrong understanding of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ISO 9001 and AS9100. Theideal candidate will have working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and GD&T principles per ASME Y14.5.In this role, the Quality Control Inspector will verify material and product conformity to internal, customer, industry,and regulatory requirements as defined by engineering drawings, standards, and specifications. The position isresponsible for performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections, issuing Nonconforming Material Reports(NMRs) when discrepancies are identified, and accurately documenting inspection results within the ERP systemand Quality records.This role may require flexibility to support business needs outside of the regular work schedule and will interface,as needed, with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**1. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, piece parts, subassemblies, andassemblies against acceptance criteria defined by internal procedures, customer requirements, applicablestandards, regulatory requirements, and engineering drawings.2. Conduct inspections using precision measurement tools and equipment, including rulers, calipers, gaugesand micrometers as applicable.3. Collaborate closely with peers, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensuremanufacturing and inspection activities comply with established processes and quality requirements.4. Communicate effectively with buyers and cross-functional stakeholders regarding supplier quality issuesand delivery-related discrepancies.5. Accurately complete receiving inspection transactions within the ERP system.6. Document and record in-process and final inspection results in manufacturing routers, quality logs, andapplicable quality system repositories.7. Initiate and document Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) in accordance with establishedprocedures and work instructions to ensure proper control of nonconforming material.**Job Specifications:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Inspection process knowledge with the ability to use standard inspection tools2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings3. Experience identifying, documenting, and reporting nonconformances within a quality management system that conforms to ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.4. Three years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment5. Must be a U.S. citizen**Preferred Qualifications:**1. Associate's degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field2. Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.3. Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)4. ASQ Certified Quality Inspector5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S6. Proficiency with advanced inspection equipment (e.g., Keyence XM CMM)**Education/Experience:**1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)2. Three years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment with a Quality Management System structured per ISO9001/AS9100.**Computer Skills:**Intermediate skill level required in:+ Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and MS Teams+ Adobe Acrobat Reader**Work Environment:**The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters whileperforming the essential functions of this job.
