QC Inspector

Job Description We're seeking a QC Inspector with strong experience inspecting precision mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment. This role is focused on blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and detailed part inspection to ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements. The right person will be detail-oriented, technically sharp, and comfortable working with precision measuring equipment in a quality-driven production setting.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect precision mechanical parts to ensure compliance with blueprint dimensions, tolerances, and quality standardsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection requirementsApply GD&T knowledge during first article, in-process, and final inspection activitiesPerform dimensional inspection using precision measuring tools and inspection equipmentVerify part conformance for machined and mechanical components based on customer and internal specificationsDocument inspection results clearly and accurately and report nonconformances when identifiedWork closely with machinists, supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to resolve dimensional or quality issuesSupport in-process and final inspection activities to help maintain product quality and production flowEnsure inspection methods are followed consistently and in accordance with company quality proceduresMaintain accurate records tied to inspections, nonconforming material, and corrective actionsHelp identify recurring quality issues and support improvement efforts within the manufacturing processRequired QualificationsExperience inspecting precision mechanical parts in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of GD&TAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsStrong experience with dimensional inspection and mechanical part verificationExperience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and related inspection equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to identify nonconformances and communicate issues clearlyStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively with production and quality teams in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsCMM programming experience is a plusExperience with first article inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspectionExperience in a precision machining or metal manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with quality documentation, nonconformance reporting, and inspection recordsDesign Hire is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
