Materials PlannerLocation: Atwater, CASalary: $80,953 - $108,488 annuallyType: Full Time | Exempt | OnsiteOverviewWe are hiring a Materials Planner to manage the procurement and inventory of packaging materials that support daily production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available on time, inventory levels are accurate, and supply chain processes run efficiently.What You'll DoManage and maintain optimal inventory levels of packaging materials to support production schedulesCreate and process purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery from suppliersBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships, including negotiating terms and pricingPartner cross-functionally with production, scheduling, and procurement teams to align material availability with demandAnalyze historical usage and market trends to forecast material needs and adjust procurement strategiesMonitor material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising qualityEnsure all materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirementsGenerate and analyze reports related to inventory, usage, and procurement performanceSupport inventory accuracy initiatives including cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliationParticipate in product development, packaging design discussions, and brand-related initiativesMaintain ERP system accuracy, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all SKUsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste What You BringBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum 7 years of experience in supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environmentAt least 3 years of experience in materials planningStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesExperience working in cross-functional, team-oriented environmentsProficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred) and Microsoft OfficeDetail-oriented with a strong process-driven mindset Compliance & Food SafetyAdhere to all OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulationsFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Support food safety and quality systems Work Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily office-based environment within a manufacturing settingAbility to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based workOccasional lifting up to 25 poundsVisual acuity for reading, data analysis, and computer tasks Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $80,953 - $108,488 annually401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off including vacation, sick time, and holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramEducational reimbursement opportunities California Pay Transparency & Equal OpportunityThis position is based in California and the salary range provided reflects the employer's good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
