Director of Nursing

Arcadia New England Home Care is recruiting a Director of Nursing to oversee the skilled services division of its Maine home health care operations. The DON is responsible for managing the nursing staff and the quality of the skilled nursing care received by clientele. This position reports directly to the President and works closely with the executive team to build and implement the skilled nursing strategy for the company. Periodic travel required within the central and southern Maine area. Flexible, remote work possibility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Operational oversight of the nursing department.Strategy and growth of the nursing department.Compliance oversight (documentation, employee and client files, regulatory), including developing and implementing new policies and procedures when necessary.Hiring, training and performance management of all nursing staff.Communicating with clients, families and physicians as needed.Reviewing and monitoring care plans and quality assurance.Field care assessment plans, field supervisory, and skilled visits.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.Currently a licensed RN through the Maine State Board of Nursing.At least five (5) years' skilled nursing experience.Administrative and management experience.
