Assistant Manager
About the Role:We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team in the Transportation and Warehousing industry. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our company, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the Manager to oversee the team and ensure that all goals are met. Your main objective will be to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while optimizing the company's resources and profitability.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field2+ years of experience in a management roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the Transportation and Warehousing industryKnowledge of logistics and supply chain managementExperience with budgeting and financial analysisExperience with project management softwareAbility to speak multiple languagesKey ResponsibilitiesAssist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.Supervise warehouse associates, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.Help coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities with transportation and logistics teams.Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and warehouse management system (WMS) processes.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, food-grade handling standards, and warehouse best practices.Support scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of warehouse staff.Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and safe warehouse environments.Work closely with customers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve operational issues and maintain high service levels.Participate in cross-docking, transloading, and distribution operations as needed.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Skills:
