Associate RN - Critical & Non-Critical Care

Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that values best practices and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory requirements. Essential Responsibilities:Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently utilize resources and supplies to promote cost savings. Manage time effectively, delegate tasks appropriately, and engage in proactive scheduling based on patient acuity and census. Participate in education on product and practice changes to support non-salary cost reductions.Quality: Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives such as meaningful use, value-based purchasing, and nurse-sensitive indicators. Demonstrate critical thinking, multitasking abilities, and thorough documentation in line with unit and organizational standards. Practice accountability through the nursing process to optimize care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and enhance patient experiences. Apply evidence-based practices and assign patient care based on nurse expertise and patient needs.Community Service and Patient Satisfaction: Positively represent the healthcare facility in community and organizational events. Actively contribute to patient satisfaction through rounding, timely responses, service recovery, and professionalism. Foster a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, managing electronic device use, and supporting healthcare students and their programs.Patient Safety: Integrate safe patient care practices daily, including fall prevention, safe mobilization, medication administration, and patient identification. Utilize event management systems to report near misses and participate in proactive error reduction. Adhere to Just Culture principles, HIPAA regulations, national safety standards, and social media policies.Professional Growth: Demonstrate leadership as a charge RN, mentor, and preceptor. Maintain licensure and pursue growth opportunities such as certifications, clinical advancement programs, advanced degrees, and shared leadership roles. Attend educational offerings and stay current with practice standards.Customer Service: Deliver care based on relationship-based and unit nursing care models, embracing holistic approaches for diverse populations. Meet established customer service standards, address ethical concerns, and foster positive coworker relationships. Exhibit courtesy, compassion, and respect toward patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.Proficiency with computer skills is necessary.At least three years of recent critical care nursing experience is required. Mandatory Licensure/Certifications:Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the appropriate state board.Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications may be required and maintained upon hire.
