Bartender PositionPOSITION SUMMARY: The bartender is responsible for making, mixing, pouring and/or creating alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for the guests of the bar and restaurant. The bartender is successful in working in a fast-paced environment and always goes the extra mile to keep guests happy, consistently providing guests with the highest quality of service. The bartender reports directly to the Guest Experience Manager & Assistant General Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessaryTake drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from serversInput orders into the POS systemPrepare guests drinks as orderedSlice fruit for garnishing drinksClean bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar displayPrepare bill and accept payment from guestsOpen and maintain proper tabs for guests throughout the shiftClear or reset the bar after each guest leavesRecord and balance receipts and prepare proper cash drawer deposits at the end of each shiftVerify the identification and age of guestsQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION:Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workersPossess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and cultureAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and organizeValid certification for serving alcoholMust be at least 21 years of ageMinimum of 2 years' experienceESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS/OTHER:Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a weekAbility to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per dayMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsWill frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, and standMust be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic
