Bartender

Your position: Bartender Your purpose: Greet each guest with a smile and warm welcome.  You’ll be responsible for taking orders, stirring & shaking up amazing cocktails along with other fun beverages, and selling delicious food. You’ll help to build repeat clientele through guest rapport and memorable moments.  Your skills: You’re an all-round good human. You come to work every day on time, with a smile and positive attitude. You’re a team player and know what it means to have each other’s back. You have solid restaurant or hospitality related experience in a similar role. You work well under pressure. You live and breathe hospitality. You have strong cocktail recipe knowledge, understanding of key techniques, and strong knowledge of food and wine. Some of Your Responsibilities Include: Acknowledge all bar guests immediately, however busy. Take guests food and beverage orders, utilize salesmanship techniques, and make appropriate recommendations. Document all orders on a server dupe pad as a back-up record in case the POS system is ever inoperative. Read your guests when making suggestions. Accurately input all orders into the POS system. Maintain impeccable knowledge of house cocktails and standard recipes. Have a strong knowledge of the wine list and be able to answer questions. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly. Make beverages for bar guests and service bar. Always make the guest feel as though you are on their side by apologizing and being proactive in handling guest complaints. Alert manager to any and all issues that arise. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar. Properly mark all bar guests for each course before delivery of food. Clear each course promptly using clearing guidelines outlined in the sequence of service. Continuously review menu items and keep up to date with all changes. Treat all allergies with the utmost importance, communicating to chefs and managers. Alert managers to great guests, big spenders, distributors, and anyone else you think wants extra attention. Ensure accuracy of guest checks and promptly process payments. Each bar is responsible for their own bank. Ensure that all cash is handled correctly and that correct change is given. Complete end of night closing checkout and shift reports. Maintain stock and communicate to bar backs any additional needs. Ensure that bar is properly stocked and set up for next shift. Complete all opening and closing side work duties as assigned. You can lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
