Overview As Controller, you will support the CFO and VP of Financial Services in managing financial reporting, accounting controls, and regulatory compliance. You will lead month-end close, audits, and cash management while supervising accounting staff. This role offers impact across US and international operations, enhancing processes and internal controls. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial statements and tax compliance, shaping financial practices for growth. ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly balance sheet account analysisConduct budget vs. actual analysis for the Corporate division monthlyPrepare cash, AP discount, and capitalization reportsReview and approve accounts payable to ensure policy complianceReview and approve applications for new credit arrangementsFile quarterly federal fuel credits and complete monthly tax returnsProcess monthly journal entries and assist with monthly use tax returnsManage audits (US and international) and tax returns; oversee state filings and related formsAssist with Branch Financial Analysis and perform internal branch auditsPrepare vendor analysis reports and present findings to CFOCommunicate with banks regarding sweep accounts and line of credit renewalsMonitor daily cash balance and alert CFO when liquidity is tightDirectly supervise payroll and accounts payable staff and enforce company policiesHandle interviewing, training, scheduling, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actionsSupervise international payroll correspondence for UK, Germany, Italy, etc.Improve processes and internal controls; recommend policies for financial and business practicesEnsure compliance with accounting and tax laws for regulatory requirements Key requirements10+ years of accounting or finance experience with increasing responsibilitiesExperience managing accounting tasks and staffThorough knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statementsExperience with JAMIS or Deltek CostPointAnalytical, detail-oriented, organizedStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesUS citizenship; eligibility for access to classified information per government security requirementsanalytical thinkingattention to detailorganizationJAMISDeltek CostPointmonth-end close
