This position provides an opportunity to build capabilities in plant operations which include manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and facilities care to help guide and promote career advancement. This is a cross-functional position with job functions such as:Trim inspectorFrozen inspectorRecase laborerIncluding tote construction and deconstructionwarehouse utilityIncluding baling cardboard, operating the trash compactor, operating the tote dump, forklift and forklift with rotator in the frozen waste areasFlake drum attendantMuncher utilityCutter deck utilityVarious other tasks assignedJob DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):Loads, palletizes, bands, and maintains an accurate count and description of product handledPerforms sanitation duties including EOC, Master Sanitation Schedule, and Plant downtimeDecase product and constructs or deconstructs totes as neededAssists in cleanup, inventory, material segregationUnderstands information that is on manifest ticketsPerforms various outside tasks including in the attic or on the roofHandles and uses concentrated hazardous chemicals and wears associated PPE properlyHandles, loads, and uses materials and ingredientsUses hand and power tools occasionallyOperates lift trucks safelyKeeps the flake drum applicator rolls full of mashPerforms recordkeeping and reportingCommunicates with multiple groups across the siteInspects and sorts product in a safe and effective mannerMonitors equipment operations and changes settings if assignedPerforms utility duties associated with equipment and operations during start-up, shutdown, cut changes, EOC and normal operationAbides by all PPE requirements and LOTO policy 100% of the timeRequired to train as neededPerforms in-line quality checks (i.e. magnet checks on flakes) as assignedQualified for Fire WatchPainting equipment, walls, framework, etc. Supports velocity initiativesUses established cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools, techniques, and maintains sanitary conditions ensuring bacteria and housekeeping are at acceptable levels.
