Channel Strategy & Revenue GrowthOwn and execute the sales strategy across Natural grocery, conventional grocery, mass, and club channelsDeliver against revenue, distribution, and velocity targets across all channelsIdentify whitespace opportunities by region, retailer, and categoryEstablish sales targets, KPIs, and scorecards for accounts and broker partnersLead annual planning, including revenue forecasting and trade investment strategyOptimize portfolio mix, assortment, pricing architecture, and promotional strategies to maximize ROILeverage syndicated data (SPINS, Circana/IRI, Nielsen) and internal data to guide decisions and storytellingMonitor category, consumer, and retailer trends and proactively adapt strategiesLead category reviews and buyer presentations using data-driven storytellingMaintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management in CRM systemsAccount Development & ManagementOwn relationships and Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key Natural, conventional, mass, and club retailersLead the full sales cycle: prospecting, line reviews, presentations, negotiations, and executionDevelop annual customer business plans aligned to the company's financial targetsManage pricing strategy, promotional calendars, and trade spend allocationMonitor performance vs. plan and proactively close gapsDrive assortment expansion, shelf placement, and promotional supportMaintain detailed customer records, including contracts, contacts, and competitive intelligenceDeliver high-touch account service and issue resolutionProvide monthly risk and opportunity reportingBroker & Distributor ManagementLead and manage broker partners across all channels to ensure accountability and performanceSet clear broker goals, KPIs, and reporting expectationsManage distributor relationships (UNFI, KeHE, regional distributors), including deductions, disputes, fill rate management, allocation and inventory planning, new item onboarding, and distributor program participationEnsure strong execution at distributor shows and selling eventsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, QA, and R&D to support growthAlign demand planning and supply capabilities with customer programsProvide retailer and category insights to inform innovation and commercializationCommunicate opportunities, insights, and performance updates clearly to senior leadershipIndustry & Customer EngagementRepresent SIMPLi at key trade shows and industry events (Expo West/East, distributor shows, regional trade events)Lead customer and distributor trainings and product education sessionsFacilitate customer planning and ideation sessionsSupport category reviews and retailer presentationsMonitor food, wellness, and category trends to identify growth opportunitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentMentor and develop emerging sales talent as the organization growsModel and foster a high-performance, accountable sales cultureBuild a strong external network to drive brand awareness and opportunity pipelinesServe as a culture carrier for SIMPLis mission and valuesRequirements & QualificationsBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus)712+ years of progressive CPG retail sales experience across Natural and conventional/mass channelsProven success managing national and regional retail accounts across multiple channels Strong experience working with brokers and natural/specialty and conventional distributorsDemonstrated ability to deliver revenue, distribution, and velocity growthDeep understanding of trade spend management and ROI optimizationStrong analytical skills with syndicated data platforms (SPINS, Circana/IRI, Nielsen)Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsHighly organized with strong prioritization and strategic planning capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systemsPassion for food, sustainability, and purpose-driven brandsMust reside in or near Philadelphia, PA (or willing to travel frequently) recblid t2h8j931luxcqp78t7bt3i9aqw5zbz
