POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you a natural leader with a passion for landscaping? We are looking for a motivated and organized Landscape Enhancements Crew Lead to join our team in Shakopee. In this role, youll be responsible for overseeing crew members, completing landscaping tasks according to work tickets, and ensuring high-quality results. Youll also help train and mentor crew members, work with customers, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. This is a non-exempt, seasonal position eligible for overtime.

What Youll Do
Quality Responsibilities:
Lead and guide crew members in performing landscaping tasks, ensuring quality results.
Plant trees, shrubs, lay sod, construct small retaining walls, create rock/mulch beds, and establish bed edges.
Prep soil for flower beds or groundcover, ensuring proper depth, placement, and spacing.
Apply mulch correctly for materials, plants, and locations.
Perform pruning on trees and shrubs and ensure proper watering and maintenance.
Conduct turf core aeration and ensure lot and ramp areas are clean.
Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure the work meets quality standards.
Inspect quality of materials upon delivery to job sites.
Production Management:
Communicate with customers and/or Account Managers to address on-site requests and performance concerns.
Identify areas to improve quality and efficiency and discuss them with the Production Supervisor and Manager.
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet customer needs and expectations.
Arrive 15 minutes early to prepare for the days tasks.
Provide feedback and jobsite notes upon completion of enhancement tasks.
Contribute to tailgate talks, discussing observations and production concerns.
Staff Management:
Assist in training and developing crew members, providing ongoing support.
Log crew members in and out of Aspire daily.
Provide feedback on crew performance to the Production Manager.
Ensure crew safety and provide corrections as needed in the field.
Operational Policies & Procedures:
Complete work tickets in Aspire, documenting issues or concerns.
Take photos of completed work in Aspire to ensure documentation is accurate.
Perform quality assurance checks for landscaping enhancements using Sitefotos.
Safety Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining crew equipment, trucks, trailers, and facilities.
Report safety concerns to the Production Supervisor and Manager.
Safely operate pruning tools, chainsaws, edgers, power washers, and other equipment.
Complete and maintain all required safety training through Greenius.
Always wear appropriate safety gear and perform preventative equipment checks.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and first aid kits.
What Were Looking For:
Leadership Skills Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
Physical Strength Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs independently and 80 lbs with assistance.
Landscaping Knowledge Experience with planting, hardscaping, and turf maintenance.
Communication Skills Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and supervisors.
Problem-Solving Abilities Able to troubleshoot and make decisions on the job.
Dependability Consistently reports to work on time and completes tasks as required.
Team Player Works well with others and contributes to a positive work environment.
Safety-Conscious Commitment to safety protocols and using protective equipment.
Pesticide License Willingness to obtain Category A & E Pesticide Applicator License within one year.
Your Schedule:
Average Workweek: 8-10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, April through October.
Flexible Hours: Schedule may vary based on weather conditions and project needs.
Weekend Work: Occasional Fridays and weekends may be required to complete projects during peak seasons.
